My All-In-One Crimp and Termination Tool (trueCRIMP) is not cutting or stripping my cable. Is it defective?Updated 10 months ago

There is likely cable jacket build-up on one or both sides of the razor blade in the cable strip channel. We recommend using a Q-Tip with alcohol to clean both sides of the blade. You might have to work at it! Do not use anything metal to clean it, though. That will ruin the blade.

When putting a score on the cable jacket, you should not use the tool to remove the jacket. That will scrape PVC material around the blade and cause build-up. Instead, simply collapse the tool on the cable and spin it around 1 or 2 times. Fully release the lever. Now withdraw the cable and break the jacket at the score. At no point should the blade scrape the jacket.
