Is it necessary to ground both ends of metallic (EMT, IMC, RMC) conduit?Updated 3 hours ago

While local regulations typically govern the bonding of metallic conduit to ground, industry best practice for structured cabling systems recommends bonding both ends of any metallic conduit that encases a bonding conductor, irrespective of its length, or any metallic conduit exceeding a single segment in length and connected via couplers.

It is important to note that any conduit surpassing three feet in length should always be bonded to ground, at minimum, at one end. For comprehensive guidance, please consult a local Code Inspector, manufacturer instructions, and a qualified electrician.
